‘Book Club: The Next Chapter’ Teaser: Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda & More Return In The Star-Studded Sequel Coming Next May

Each summer, the film industry releases the biggest, most star-studded franchise films in hopes that these blockbusters will achieve massive financial success. Next May alone features “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Fast X,” and “The Little Mermaid.” But there’s another epic, globetrotting franchise film with an A-list cast looking to stake its claim to the summer movie pie in May 2023— “Book Club: The Next Chapter.”

As seen in the trailer for “Book Club: The Next Chapter,” the potential blockbuster features the returning team of powerful women as they aim to take over Italy and fight the police in the process. Car chases, prison, and plenty of quips follow. All of this is in the pursuit of wild, hedonistic desires. And much like its franchise brethren, this highly-anticipated sequel features a bigger cast, bigger budget, and exotic locales. And much like Vin Diesel’s “Fast & Furious” series, don’t be surprised if one of these women flies off into space. The possibilities are endless. 

The all-star cast includes Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Giancarlo Giannini, Andy Garcia, and Don Johnson. Returning at the helm is filmmaker Bill Holderman, who once again teams up with Erin Simms for the screenplay.
