'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' Trailer: A Teen Is Mortified When Secret Love Letters Are Discovered

One of the biggest fears of any teen in high school is that your crush will find out that you have been secretly pining for them. So, what happens if it not only happens to you once, but five times? That’s the basic premise of the upcoming Netflix Original film, “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”

In the latest trailer for the film, we meet a young teen girl who is perfectly content with living her days in high school unseen by the greater population. She just does her thing and hopes that no one notices her, especially the five boys that she has had crushes on. To deal with her emotions, she pens love letters to the boys she has developed feelings for and hides them away in her closet. But all hell breaks loose when someone finds those letters and distributes them. Hilarity, and horrible awkwardness, ensues.

The film comes from director Susan Johnson, who is best known as a producer but also debuted as a director in 2016’s “Carrie Pilby.” “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by author Jenny Han.

“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” hits Netflix on August 17.

Here’s the official synopsis:
