Can one man save Christmas? Chris Carver will do anything to make the holiday memorable in “Candy Cane Lane.” The Prime Video film offers a light-hearted spin on the usual seasonal madness, with families competing for the best decorations. Carver is willing to make a deal with an elf this time that could spell trouble for the entire town. ‘Candy Cane’ comes from a script by Kelly Younger — whose previous credits include “Muppets Haunted Mansion.” Acclaimed director and producer Reginald Hudlin helms the project, his first since 2022’s “Sidney.”

Comedy legend Eddie Murphy heads up the cast, including Tracee Ellis Ross as his wife, Carol. Jillian Bell, Thaddeus J. The film’s official synopsis:
Eddie Murphy stars in this holiday comedy adventure about a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest. After Chris (Eddie Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper’s spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone.
