Cara Delevingne, Dan Stevens, Amber Heard & More Join Alex Ross Perry's Next Film 'Her Smell'

We’ve been excited to hear more about Alex Ross Perry’s new film “Her Smell” since we learned that the filmmaker was teaming up with Elisabeth Moss once again. Well, according to reports, Perry’s latest film is filling up its cast with exciting actors and it’s making us want to see this film ASAP.

Deadline is reporting that Moss will be joined by Cara Delevingne, Dan Stevens, Eric Stoltz, Virginia Madsen, Amber Heard, and Ashley Benson in the film about an aging punk singer. In “Her Smell,” Moss plays Becky, a self-destructive punk rock star that pushes her friends, family, and bandmates to the limit as she battles sobriety and attempts to find that creative spark that led to her band’s success.

Delevingne plays Cassie, a member of a younger female band that Becky takes under her wing as a protégé. Heard will play a former friend of Becky’s that’s reached superstar success, while Becky struggles. Dan Stevens will play Becky’s ex and father to her daughter.

As mentioned earlier, “Her Smell” is written and directed by Alex Ross Perry, best known for his films “Listen Up Philip” and “Queen of Earth.” He’s also credited as a screenwriter on the upcoming film “Christopher Robin.” The film will feature original songs written by Alicia Bognanno and Anika Pyle.

Obviously, Moss is best known for her recent work on the hit Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Delevingne was one of the stars of the film “Suicide Squad,” but was recently seen in Luc Besson’sValerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.” Amber Heard will have a starring role in the upcoming DC film “Aquaman.” And Dan Stevens is probably best known for his recent work on “Legion,” but was also in “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Guest.”

No word yet on a release date for “Her Smell.”
