The world of Taylor Swift took a bite out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a while ago, as rumors began to swirl that the singer would show up in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Fans were convinced the singer would either show up as Lady Deadpool or Dazzler in the film. The rumors burned hotter when people saw Blake Lively (Ryan Reynolds’ wife) show up at the Super Bowl to hang out with Swift. Alas, it appears all those rumors were false.

According to EW, Taylor Swift is not going to show up in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” She’s not Lady Deadpool. She’s not Dazzler. She’s just not in the film. Is that enough to convince fans? Probably not. For months, we heard Andrew Garfield vehemently deny he was in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and that turned out to be a lie. But this stuff with Swift feels different.
Fans were utterly convinced she would either show up as Lady Deadpool or Dazzler. The latter is an X-Men character who is actually a famous singer. That sort of role seems logical for Swift. Especially since Dazzler is blonde in the comics.

We have confirmation she shows up in the film because we saw what looks like her legs in one of the latest trailers and teasers. But apparently, that’s not Swift, either. (Our money is on it being Blake Lively, which would make for some fun banter with her husband.)
Could Taylor Swift actually still show up in the film? Sure. Maybe EW was chosen to plant the denial, but it’s actually true. But at this point, it honestly does feel like all the Swift rumors are bunk.
