Got a Tip?

Netflix To Release ‘The Devil All The Time’ In September, Starring Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan & More

Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated films of 2020 is “The Devil All the Time.” The film is set in the time between World War II and the Vietnam War, focusing on the various stories of people suffering from the trauma of war and the community they live in. And with the film industry seemingly flipped upside down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s nice to know that Netflix is going to release “The Devil All the Time” in September.

As Netflix points out in the release date announcement, the biggest selling feature for the film has to be the ridiculous cast. I mean, this is just some of the actors appearing in the feature: Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgard, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska, and Eliza Scanlen.

If you’re keeping track, that’s Spider-Man, Bucky, Batman, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, and a Terminator. And that’s just the guys. We’re also talking about Bennett, who is the star of one of 2020’s best films, “Swallow.” Wasikowska has established herself as one of the best working today with performances in features such as “The Evening Sun,” “Crimson Peak,” “The Kids Are Alright,” and of course, the “Alice in Wonderland” films. And then you have Scanlen, who has proven to be one of the biggest up-and-coming actresses with roles in “Sharp Objects,” “Little Women,” and “Babyteeth.”

Needless to say, the fact that Antonio Campos is directing is just the icing on the cake. For those not familiar with his work, he’s the director of features such as “Afterschool” and “Christine.” He also helmed episodes of the thriller series, “The Sinner.”

With a cast as stacked as this and an acclaimed filmmaker behind the camera, it’s obvious that “The Devil All the Time” has the opportunity to be in the awards conversation for Netflix this year. We’ll just have to see if it can live up to the hype when it premieres on September 16.
