Emma Corrin is still a relatively new actor in Hollywood. Their first breakout role was in 2020 when they starred as Princess Diana in Season 4 of “The Crown.” However, since then, Corrin has been on a tear, earning major roles in films such as “My Policeman” and “Lady Chatterley’s Lover.” And next up are perhaps the two biggest films of their career.
Earlier today, Ryan Reynolds shared on social media that he was welcoming Emma Corrin to the “Deadpool” family. No details were given about what role Corrin might have, but you have to assume it’s a fairly significant one. “Deadpool 3” is set to begin filming later this year and will star Reynolds alongside Hugh Jackman, who is reprising his role as Wolverine. The film has been described as a buddy-cop team-up film, and it will mark the first foray into the MCU for the two “X-Men” characters.
“New addition to the family!” said Reynolds. “The ‘Deadpool’ family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!”
Again, no word yet on the role Corrin could play in the film. With the wealth of “X-Men”-related characters at Marvel’s disposal, it would be silly to really even speculate at this point. “Deadpool 3” is directed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on “The Adam Project” and “Free Guy.”
However, as if that wasn’t enough, Deadline recently reported that Corrin just landed a role in Robert Eggers’ upcoming “Nosferatu” remake film. Again, no word yet on what role Corrin might have in the horror film. Corrin joins a cast that already includes Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, and Willem Defoe. Skarsgård is attached to play the title role.
So, with these two films, it would appear the next couple of years are set to be huge for Corrin, as they have lined up one highly-anticipated arthouse horror film, “Nosferatu,” and perhaps a billion-dollar blockbuster with “Deadpool 3.” Not too bad.
