Well, it looks like Oscar-winning filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos is going to have multiple Super Bowl ads airing this year, as he’s not only doing one for Grubhub, but is set to reunite with his actress muse Emma Stone (her Super Bowl debut) for a second spot to promote the well-known website-building company Squarespace, called “Unavailable.”
They’ve shared with us a teaser version of the upcoming spot, which sees Stone undergoing some emotional crisis while cutting to a shot of a house on a water-locked, isolated island. It’s unknown if the spot will have a satirical twist, given Lanthimos’ sense of humor and previous celeb-focused Squarespace ads, it is a good bet to make.

You might be aware that Squarespace is known for artsy and fun ads in the past featuring actors Jeff Bridges, Keanu Reeves, and last year’s Super Bowl spokesperson, Walton Goggins. So, it’s not entirely shocking that they would link up with Lanthimos, as they seem extremely open to quirky ideas, and we can’t wait to see that full version.
Stone and Lanthimos have previously worked together on “The Favourite,” “Poor Things,” “Kinds of Kindness,” and their Oscar-nominated pic “Buginoa,” which saw Stone land her latest Best Actress nomination, alongside being up for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture statues.
Check out the brief teaser footage for the upcoming spot below. As the full ad is set to debut on February 8, during the mega-popular football event that will see the Seattle Seahawks facing the New England Patriots for the Lombardi trophy.
