Marvel Television has unveiled the new trailer for Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” and it’s selling the next chapter as a pressure-cooker fight for the soul of New York City—one where survival, resistance, and redemption aren’t lofty ideals, but the daily math of staying alive.
This time, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) isn’t just looming over the city—he’s running it. With Fisk in the mayor’s seat, the trailer frames New York as a place being “crushed underfoot,” as he hunts down public enemy number one: the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. Meanwhile, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) isn’t positioned as a savior riding in on certainty. He’s a man fighting from the margins, trying to dismantle Fisk’s corrupt empire from the shadows and claw back a version of the city that still feels worth bleeding for.

The biggest jolt is the long-awaited return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, a reintroduction that immediately sharpens the tone. Jones has never been about inspirational heroics—she’s blunt, bruised, and allergic to mythmaking, which makes her presence feel less like a cameo and more like a statement: if this season is about resisting a city-wide squeeze, you’re going to need the kind of ally who can spot the con and still swing anyway.
And the trailer’s music choice does a lot of storytelling on its own. Childish Gambino’s “Lithonia” is prominently featured, with the recurring “nobody gives a f—” refrain landing like a thesis for the season’s emotional weather: a city numbed into apathy, a public conditioned to shrug, and a hero forced to decide whether conviction matters when indifference has become the default. It’s a brutal counterpoint to the season’s rallying cry—“Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”—suggesting Season 2 will live in that uncomfortable gap between giving up and getting up.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.
Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord, and Matt Corman, Season 2 brings back Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, with returning cast including Deborah Ann Woll, Ayelet Zurer, Wilson Bethel, and Margarita Levieva, plus Matthew Lillard joining the series as Mr. Charles. “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 premieres March 24 exclusively on Disney+—and if this trailer’s any indication, the Man Without Fear is about to find out what happens when fear becomes policy.
