There was a surprise entry to this year’s Emmys Competition Series field and it was FOX’s “The Masked Singer.” The sophomore series earned two nods including a Costume Design recognition for the second straight year. Can it dethrone “RuPaul’s Drag Race” which is going for a third straight win? At this point, we think it’s just a bit too unlikely. And that if any show is going to steal the crown its either NBC’s “The Voice” or Netflix favorite “Nailed It!.” But with “Amazing Race” and “American Ninja Warrior” out of the mix, anything is possible.
