‘Interview With A Vampire’ Trailer: Watch An Extended Look At Season 2 Premiering May 12 On AMC+

Disney+ has Lucasfilm and Marvel, Peacock has “Ted,” Paramount has ‘Sonic,’ and the Taylor Sheridan-verse and Netflix have various properties that they’ve grown into hits, including a new relationship with the creators of “Game Of Thrones.” For AMC+, their toehold on genre I.P. on television is a modern wave television of adaptations based on the work of late horror author Anne Rice and shows like Mayfair Witches.And so, continuing in this vein, the streamer has released an extended look at the upcoming second season of the vampire drama, “Interview With A Vampire.”

Taking place in 2022, the second season sees vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (“Game Of Thrones” alumni Jacob Anderson) continuing to recount his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). The rest of the cast, including Delaniey Hayles as Claudia, Sam Reid as Rice’s favorite vamp, Lestat de Lioncourt, and Armand Assad Zaman. Ben Daniels also stars in season two as the leader of Theatre Des Vampires. We’ll also see David Costabile, Roxane Duran, and Bally Gill take guest roles in the horror show.

Series creator and showrunner Rolin Jones executive produces alongside Mark Johnson, Mark Taylor, Christopher Rice, and Rice.

The streamer’s official synopsis for this new string of new episodes reads as follows:

Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and Claudia conspired to kill Lestat, Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old World Vampires, and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris. It is in Paris that Louis first meets the Vampire Armand. Their courtship and love affair will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future, and Molloy will probe to get to the truths buried within the memories.

Speaking of AMC, they recently swooped in to help save the fourth and final season of “Snowpiercer” following TNT’s cancellation of the genre series, which is a prequel to Bong Joon-ho’s feature film from 2013.

“Interview With A Vampire” will debut on May 12 exclusively on AMC+. Watch the new trailer below.
