Got a Tip?

Javier Bardem & Chloë Sevigny Join Ryan Murphy & Netflix’s ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’ Series

Ryan Murphy loves a TV anthology franchise. He’s already got ”American Story,” “Feud,” “American Horror Story,” “Monster,” and probably a few more we’re forgetting. And following the massive success of “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” Netflix ordered two additional installments of the anthology series from Murphy and Ian Brennan. The next iteration is “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” and today, Netflix announced the key cast members joining the next iteration of Murphy and Brennan’s based-on-a true-‘Monster’ anthology series.

First up, Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”), will play Jose Menendez. Chloë Sevigny (“Feud: Capote vs the Swans”) will play Kitty Menendez, and newcomers Nicholas Alexander Chavez (“General Hospital”) and Cooper Koch (“They/Them”)  are confirmed to portray Lyle Menendez and Erik Menendez, respectively.

Executive Producers on the series include Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, David McMillan, Louise Shore, and veteran director Carl Franklin, which means he’ll likely direct several key episodes.

“Dahmer,” the record-breaking first iteration of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s ‘Monster’ anthology, reached 1 billion view hours in its first 60 days, making it only one of four series to achieve this milestone. “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” has no release date yet, but Netflix has promised it in 2024.
