The trailer for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” was rumored to arrive last week, but nothing happened. However, it’ll unspool tomorrow and today Universal has released a behind-the-scenes teaser with tons of new footage that in some respects steals the thunder for Thursday’s clip. Or at least, reveals a lot of what we’ll see including the first footage of Jeff Goldblum’s return. Here’s the synopsis:
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful franchises in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
“Jurassic Word: Fallen Kingdom” boasts a huge cast which stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside co-stars James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, while BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum reprise their original ‘Jurassic’ franchise roles.
Directed by J.A. Bayona (“The Impossible”), the epic action-adventure is written by “Jurassic World” helmer Colin Trevorrow and his writing partner Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg executive produces once again and of course is the spiritual godfather of the series, making sure it always has his spirit and imprimatur.
Look, it’s just a behind-the-scenes clip, which is usually meh, but this one is loaded with new footage and Jeff Goldblum which is always a plus (though sadly, something tells me it’s not a huge role). So get your jump on the new trailer.
“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” opens on June 22, 2018.
