While the Rolodex of content is ever expanding for streaming giant Netflix, there have been casualties along the way. Notably, the Marvel TV series have one by one begun to lose their luster on the platform and, as consequence, have made their exit fairly quietly. But hoping to leave a lasting impression in Marvel’s “Jessica Jones.”
A star-making vehicle for actress Krysten Ritter, “Jessica Jones” had a loyal following that in the last few years began to steadily ebb and flow. Whether it was the overwhelming amount of content that the series subsequently stood in the shadow of, or interest never piquing as it did when the series began, “Jessica Jones” looks to go out on a bang with its final season.

The final season of “Jessica Jones” marks the end of the Marvel TV/ Netflix partnership. Back in 2013, the partnership signified the swell of Marvel’s reach from the big screen to the small screen, and fans of the MCU were all in. But in recent years, shows including “Luke Cage,” “Daredevil,” and “Marvel’s The Defenders” simply lost traction. As a result, each show has made a swift and steady exit. As the last of the series to take its bow, “Jessica Jones” appears to pull its loose strings together and go out with a sucker punch.
