Variety reports that Jon Favreau will step back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an appearance in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Playing Happy Hogan — Tony Stark/Iron Man’s best bud and Head of Security at Stark Industries — the character appeared in the “Iron Man” trilogy (the first two of which were also directed by Favreau), but nowhere else in the Marvel-verse. Starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier, Kenneth Choi, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Abraham Attah, Hannibal Buress, Bokeem Woodbine, and Jona Xiao, the Jon Watts-directed movie opens on July 7, 2017.
