John Travolta Puts His 'Life On The Line' In New Trailer For Power Line Worker Drama

We’ve seen movies about police officers and firefighters, this fall Ben Affleck puts on the pocket protector for “The Accountant,” while “Glengarry Glen Ross” showed us the inner workings of a phone sales team. It seems every profession has had their moment to shine on the big screen, but I can’t recall ever seeing a movie involving power line workers in a central role. Well, that changes with the unsubtly named, “Life On The Line.”

Directed by David Hackl (“Saw V,” “Into The Grizzly Maze“), and starring John Travolta, Kate Bosworth, Devon Sawa, and Sharon Stone, this movie has been completed for a while, and still doesn’t have U.S. distribution, and after viewing this new trailer, you’ll probably understand why. Anyway, the movie takes us into the lives of Texas power line workers, which you can largely tell because of Travolta’s state-sized accent, as they head to work in the midst of a fierce storm. Here’s the synopsis:

Life on the Line is an exhilarating action drama, which follows the lives of a crew of eccentric and courageous Texan power line workers who do the extremely dangerous work of fixing the crumbling electrical grid. John Travolta stars as ‘Beau’, a salt of the earth man who blames himself for his brother’s death and raises Bailey, his orphaned niece (Kate Bosworth).  His worlds collide when Bailey’s handsome lover joins his linemen crew on the eve of a massive and deadly storm that threatens to rip their lives apart.

“Life On The Line” is now playing in Singapore, and it seems like that might be the only place you can see it on the big screen, at least for a while.
