Want to watch a rom-com that shakes up its traditional premise a bit? Then Peacock‘s “Laid” might be worth it next month.

Starring Stephanie Hsu, the series follows Ruby, a young woman who discovers her former lovers are dying in unusual ways. In order to move forward, she must track down past flames (guys, girls, exes, one night stands) and tell them the truth: they’re going to die.

A woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward – “Laid” is a f*cked up rom-com where the answer to “why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?” is a resounding “Yes. There is. The problem is definitely you.”
Along with Hsu, “Laid” also stars. Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano, and Tommy Martinez. Guest stars include Andrew Hyland, Kate Berlant, David Denman, John Early, Ettore “Big E” Ewen, Chloe Fineman, Olivia Holt, Simu Liu, Finneas O’Connell, and Alexandra Shipp.
Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers on “Laid.” Other executive producers include Hsu, John David and John Fox for Davis Entertainment, Jennifer Carreras for Fierce Baby, and Marieke Hardy, Kirsty Fisher, and Liz Watts for Porchlight Films. All3 Media International also executive produces the series.
