Tim Story, the director behind the two “Ride Along” films starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, is back in the action comedy genre with Prime Video‘s “The Pickup,” heading to the streaming service later this summer.
Prime has sent us a new trailer to share as “The Pickup” sees iconic funnyman Eddie Murphy starring alongside contemporary comedic actors Pete Davidson (“Dumb Money”) and Keke Palmer (“One of Them Days”) as the three (Murphy and Davidson playing armored truck delivery men) are thrust into a heist plot that sees them attempting to steal $60,000,000 from a casino. As you might imagine, things don’t go according to plan, leading to action-packed hijinks.

As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse.
Story directs the movie from a script penned by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, with John Davis, John Fox, Murphy, Story, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster producing.
