According to Deadline, filmmaker Lisa Cholodenko is set to direct multiple episodes of the upcoming limited series, “The Girl From Plainville.” As mentioned, the series is inspired by the court case about a teenage girl that was convicted of coaxing her friend into committing suicide through a series of harsh texts. ‘Plainville’ comes from showrunners Liz Hannah (“The Post”) and Patrick Macmanus (“Dr. Death”).

Cholodenko is probably best known as the filmmaker behind the award-winning 2010 film, “The Kids Are All Right.” And though she hasn’t made a feature in over a decade, Cholodenko has been a constant presence in high-profile TV series. Most recently, she helmed multiple episodes of the acclaimed Netflix series, “Unbelievable.” And before that, she helmed episodes of “Olive Kitteridge,” “The L Word,” and “Hung.” So, she’s definitely no stranger when it comes to great TV series.
