So much for that little “Pulp Fiction”-like little indie film he wanted to do in between “Transformers” films, huh?
Michael Bay has announced on his website that “Transformers 3” will hit theaters in 2011, not 2012 as previously stated by the testosterone-happy filmmaker.
The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012 as originally planned. Megan Fox is surely thrilled to work with that crew again. Though Bay in his post offers a laurel of peace…errr, actually more like another dig.
“P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.”
Translation: Shape up or we’ll cast some other vapid hot girl to play Shia’s girlfriend.
Bay said he met with ILM for five hours in San Francisco and then is flying with writer Ehren Kruger — who had top billing on “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” above Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, though we’re not sure anyone would want to boast about having written that dung heap —to Rhode Island to discuss with Hasbro the all important matter of what toys they can spin into characters.
May we advise to stay away from ethnicity’s perchance? For fans of a smaller Michael Bay films (do they exist?) Yes, it’s conceivable he could do a smaller scale “Pulp Fiction” action comedy rip-off in between now and summer 2011 (if he starts shooting soon), but really, would you actually care?
