If you’re a fan of classic sci-fi/genre films of the last several decades, you’re likely going to count yourself a fan of actor Michael Biehn. A fixture in ‘80s cinema, Biehn is probably best known for his roles in films such as “The Terminator,” where he played Kyle Reese, and “Aliens,” where he played Corporal Hicks. The man is a damn icon in genre film. And apparently, he’s ready to make his “Star Wars” debut.
According to reports from Making Star Wars and /Film, Biehn has been signed on to star in Season 2 of the Disney+ series, “The Mandalorian.” While his specific role has yet to be announced, the reports claim that Biehn will portray another bounty hunter that has links to the series’ main character’s mysterious past.
As alluded to, Biehn is one of the most recognizable actors for fans of genre filmmaking. In addition to appearances in “The Terminator” and “Aliens,” he’s also appeared in projects such as “The Abyss,” “Tombstone,” “The Rock,” and “Planet Terror.”

In addition to Biehn joining the cast, the reports also confirm that Bill Burr, who showed up in a small role in Season 1 will also return for the new batch of ‘Mandalorian’ episodes. Both men are joined by Rosario Dawson, who was recently reported to star as Ahsoka Tano in the series, as well as returning cast members that include Gina Carano and Carl Weathers.
Production on Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” has already wrapped and it’s expected that the show will return in October. However, with delays being common due to the COVID-19 pandemic, even with post-production work, it’s unclear whether or not the Disney+ hit will be affected or not.
