'Heart Of Stone' Trailer: Gal Gadot's Action Flick Comes To Netflix On August 11 [Tudum]

Gal Gadot’s tenure as Wonder Woman may have ended, as “Wonder Woman 3” is reportedly not moving forward as the newly formed DC Studios is seemingly moving in a new direction (we shall see). However, this doesn’t mean Gadot is slowing down her output of action projects. She’s already returned to the “Fast & Furious” franchise, and next for the Israeli actress is Netflix’sHeart of Stone” coming this summer.

That Netflix film is said to be taking a page from things like the James Bond, Jason Bourne, and “Mission: Impossible” films, and the streaming giant is promoting it this weekend with their big Tudum event. Thankfully, with a new trailer (see below) just released, we have a better idea of what to expect from the secretive project.

Here is the basic logline for “Heart of Stone” provided by Netflix:

“Rachel Stone is an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful, global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset.”

Tom Harper (“Wild Rose”) directs from a script was co-written by popular comic book writer Greg Rucka, who had his own comic “The Old Guard” previously adapted by himself and Netflix into a film franchise led by Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron. “Hidden Figures” screenwriter Allison Schroeder also worked on the pic.

The rest of the cast comprises Jamie Dornan, Ali Bhatt, Archie Madekwe, Matthias Schweighofer, Sophie Okonedo, and Jung Lusi. It’s unclear if “Heart Of Stone” will launch a franchise as “Red Notice,” another Netflix actioner, hasn’t officially landed a sequel despite huge viewership. Then again, given the folks involved, it could become a crowd-pleaser.

“Heart of Stone” will begin streaming on August 11, and you can watch that trailer below.
