We gotta ask…what's going with Éponine? As Universal continues going hard on the marketing campaign for "Les Miserables," Samantha Barks seems conspicuously absent from much of it. Secret weapon or stumbling block? Here's hoping for the former, but unfortunately, she isn't in this latest batch of promo images for the movie, snapped by the legendary Annie Leibovtiz for Vogue.
Of course, looking as gorgeous as anything famed photographer has taken in her career, these images are from the Pinewood Studios location for the film, giving us portrait sized looks at Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anna Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne in costume the film. We also get the latter pair as lovers Cosette and Marius, and perhaps more colorfully, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen as the Thenardiers.
This one is pretty high on our list of year end highlights, so we can't wait. "Les Miserables" opens on Christmas Day.
