Nicole Kidman Too Far In 'Rabbit Hole,' Kevin Smith's 'Green Hornet' Finds New Life, 'Terminator 5' Rights Up For Grabs

Nicole Kidman’s exit from Woody Allen next picture has been revealed to be a result of scheduling conflicts with John Cameron Mitchell’s “Rabbit Hole,” the film she will star in with Aaron Eckhart as as couple who struggle to cope with the death of their 4 year old son. JCM over Woody, huh? [Movieline]

Kevin Smith will be proceeding with his planned “Green Hornet” story, albeit in comic form. Smith aims to get his story out there “before Seth Rogen and Michel Gondry’s version defines the character for the mainstream.” Ooh, sour grapes dig? Sounds like it. [/Film]

Teaser trailers, multiple full trailers, character profiles, exclusive clips, the list goes on. Remember the days when you use to go into a cinema pretty much blind? More than ever, in the case of “Terminator Salvation,” do we already know way too much about the story for a complete cinematic experience? Even we agree, there’s hardly any secrets left to ‘T4’ and they probably should have kept things a little bit more under wraps.[Den Of Geek]

Speak of the devil, the financial and distribution rights to ‘Salvation’ could potentially switch to MGM if they decide to take up their 30-day first right of refusal. The rights are currently owned by the Halycon Company who sold the domestic rights for ‘Salvation’ to Warner Brothers for $50 million and to Sony for $8 million for international rights. [Variety]

IFC have picked up the rights to the ‘Red Riding Trilogy,’ a series of three films revolving around the story of the Yorkshire Ripper, a notorious British serial killer from the 70’s and 80’s. Each film will be set at a different time with Julian Jarrold, James Marsh and David Morrisey each helming one. [THR]
