It’s a tale as old as time—you defeat an evil, supernatural serial killer only to find out that he’s really not dead and has come back eight years later to take the soul of your child and send them a place called Christmasland. We’ve all been through this before, right? Well, it seems to be something that catches the character of Vic off guard in the new season of AMC’s hit horror series, “NOS4A2.”
As seen in the new trailer for the second season of “NOS4A2,” Charlie Manx is back and he’s after the soul of Vic McQueen’s young son, Wayne. Of course, Vic isn’t going to sit idly by as the supernatural villain does his gory thing. No, she’s going to fight tooth and nail to make sure her son survives the experience and that Charlie Manx is killed once and for all.
The series stars Zachary Quinto, Ashleigh Cummings, Jahkara Smith, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Virginia Kull, Jonathan Langdon, Ashley Romans, Jason David, and Mattea Conforti. “NOS4A2” is based on the novel by Joe Hill, who produces the series alongside showrunner Jami O’Brien.
“NOS4A2” Season 2 debuts on AMC on June 21.
Here’s the synopsis:
NOS4A2’s second season picks up eight years after the events of season one. Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) remains more determined than ever to destroy Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto). Charlie, having faced his own mortality, emerges desperate for revenge against Vic. This time, he sets his sights on the person who means most to Vic – her eight-year-old son Wayne. The race for Wayne’s soul sends Vic and Charlie on a high-speed collision course, forcing both to confront the mistakes of their pasts in order to secure a hold on Wayne’s future.
