Got a Tip?

Paul Bettany Says Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ Is “F*cking Bonkers”

Of all the series that Marvel Studios is currently developing for Disney+, “WandaVision” might be the most intriguing. Why is a show about one of the B-list Avengers more interesting than “Loki,” “Hawkeye,” or “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier?” Well, simply put, every tease we’ve gotten about the series sounds so weird and unique that it’s amazing that Marvel Studios is actually putting it into production. And recent comments from actor Paul Bettany do nothing but make our interest go to new heights.

Speaking at a review event, Bettany talked about “WandaVision” and while he didn’t necessarily tease any plot points or anything, his description of the show, plus the promise that fans will get some “insight” soon is exciting.

“It is fucking bonkers,” said Bettany. “Fans will not have to wait that much longer. They’ll get much more than an insight very, very soon.”

As mentioned, based on the idea that this show has been described as a ‘50s sitcom meets a superhero film, combined with the “fucking bonkers” description from Bettany, we really have no clue what to expect from the streaming series. Presumably, it’s going to deal with the fallout from “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” where Vision (Bettany) was murdered by Thanos and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) got her revenge on the villain. We can assume that the series will venture into the fractured mind of Wanda and discover how the character is able to bring Vision back from the dead.

Originally announced with a spring 2021 date, “WandaVision” was recently moved up to a 2020 release date, presumably sometime in the late fall after “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier” wraps up.
