Got a Tip?

Petition For Zack Snyder Director’s Cut Of ‘Justice League’ Goes To The Next Level

Let’s be clear: there is likely no Zack Snyder cut of “Justice League” just sitting around at Warner Bros. What ever extra scenes that were left on the cutting room — and there’s probably plenty, given the extensive reshoots by Joss Whedon — Warner Bros. completed the visual effects for everything that went into the theatrical version and not much more. Hell, they were down to the wire as it is, which left Henry Cavill‘s face looking inhuman after the rush job to digitally remove his moustache. Nonetheless, fans have been petitioning the studio to release a Snyder cut of “Justice League,” presuming its more tonally conherent and in line with this vision, and now those efforts are going one step further.

As the new year rolls around, ForSnyderCut.org will be launched. Currently, the site just had a countdown clock until its presumed launch, and I can’t imagine what the content might include. But it will presumably be a one stop shop for all Snyder fans to commiserate and plan their ongoing campaign to open up the vault for “Justice League.”

With DC Films getting an executive shakeup following the disappointing box office return for “Justice League,” spending more time and money on that movie might not be at the top of the priority list for anybody. I would even question the rumors of a Joss Whedon extended cut of the film, and the purported leaked over art for the “Justice League” home video release, certainly suggests that at least for now, Warner Bros. is simply clearing the decks of “Justice League” as quickly as possible. Don’t hold your breath of an array of bonus material anytime soon. [via Comic Book Movie/JoBlo]
