The ‘80s were a special time. It was an era of excess, both in money and pleasure. And that’s where we find ourselves in the new series, “Rivals.”

As seen in the trailer, “Rivals” tells the story of feuding socialites in 1980s England. They compete against each other for everything, including sex, money, and power. And as the trailer shows, the series doesn’t hold back in giving a look into what it takes to be powerful in the mid-1980s.
The cast includes Alex Hassell, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Nafessa Williams, Emily Atack, Catriona Chandler, Oliver Chris, Danny Dyer, Rufus Jones, Lisa McGrillis, Luke Pasqualino, Claire Rushbrook and Victoria Smurfit.

Here’s the synopsis:
Set against the backdrop of power-grabbing social elites, “Rivals” dives headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986, where hair-dos are big and ambitions are even bigger.
