We finally found out why Roseanne Barr has been turning down major TV interviews regarding the controversial tweet that got her fired from her hit sitcom. Apparently, she’s angry. Like really angry.
As we mentioned recently, Barr has turned down all the major offers to speak up about the firing and the tweet that caused it, in favor of doing her own recorded “interview” on her YouTube page. As promised, she did release a video explaining the tweet, but wow, it’s not what anyone could have expected.
Clearly, Roseanne is at her wit’s end regarding this controversy. Not to cut her any slack because what she tweeted and done in the meantime is pretty ridiculous and reprehensible. However, watching the short 1-minute clip explaining the tweet, you get the idea that the actress/comedian is just losing her mind.
The clip begins with someone off-camera trying to explain how everything will work with the filming of the interview. Barr, obviously exasperated, just listens as you watch her frustration boil over. Then she begins her “statement” by saying she just wants to explain the Valerie Jarrett tweet.
“I THOUGHT THE BITCH WAS WHITE! GODDAMNIT! I THOUGHT THE BITCH WAS WHITE! FUCK!” yelled Barr at the camera, cigarette in hand.
Perhaps Barr would have done better to just sit down with someone at a professional news outlet?
Instead of providing a statement about the tweet, with a little remorse, Barr has continued to show her true colors throughout this whole ordeal. After each seemingly coherent apology or kind tweet, she follows it up with more conspiracy theories and insults. Now, with this new statement, it’s obvious just how Barr feels about the tweet and the subject of the tweet, Jarrett.
She just doesn’t care.
Well, we’re interested to see where this story goes next because if this is the statement that Barr chose to release on her own, lord knows what we can expect next.
