You’ve got to hand it to Ryan Reynolds, he’s taken multiple multiplex hard knocks, and kept his stride. No stranger to comic book movies, he’s appeared in "Blade: Trinity" and "The Green Lantern," and gets another shot at playing Deadpool after the mess that was "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." But even he has his limits, and he says no more spandex for him if it ain’t the merc with a mouth.
"I have no desire to play any other superheroes after this," the actor told Huffington Post. "Hopefully we’ll get to do ‘Deadpool’ again. Given the fact that it’s rated R, the fans have to show their support for it, and they have to come out and make it worthwhile for the studio to make another one, but that’s it for me. I’ve punched that superhero card a few times now, and that’s enough."
And hey, fair play. He’s logged his time — let’s not forget about the graphic novel adaptation "R.I.P.D." — and if "Deadpool" turns out to be as good as he’s already saying it will be, why not go out on a superhero high note?
