Got a Tip?

So, There Might Be A ‘Boondock Saints 3’ For Some Reason

nullThe oeuvre of Troy Duffy, such as it is, is made up entirely of "Boondock Saints" movies. His 1999 directorial debut for some reason earned itself a cult following, despite being a pretty tepid last gasp of post-Tarantino moviemaking but swapped out irony for deadpan earnestness that was barely stitched togther into something resembling a movie. Only Willem Dafoe seemed to realize he was in a camp movie, and gave a performance that was notably eccentric and memorable. Ten years later it was followed up with the dreadful "Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day." We thought that would be last stab at the wheezing "franchise," but alas, we were wrong.

IFC recently caught up with Norman Reedus (aka Murphy MacManus) who was out doing the rounds for "The Walking Dead," and he revealed that plans are underfoot for another 'Boondocks' outing. “I’m in L.A right now,” Reedus said. “I’m meeting with Sean [Patrick Flanery] and Troy [Duffy] tonight. I just landed a couple hours ago and tonight I’m going over to Troy’s house with Sean. It’s definitely in the works. Look for it. It’s gonna be crazy.”

Hooray? We can't imagine anybody being interested in this, and considering 'All Saints Day' brought in a piddling $10 million at the box office (though, yes, still profitable). But anything is possible, and there might be just enough people pumped for this that a (very) low budget finale could be feasible. But yeah, we're kind of whatever about this.
