Lee Jung-jae, who also won an Emmy for “Squid Game” Season 1, also returns in Season 2, and he appears in Netflix’s first look at the upcoming season. From the looks of it, Gi-hun’s plans in the US have gone south after a mysterious call and sees the character set out on a chase of some kind. But will it lead back to the circumstances of “Squid Game” Season 1?
The new season also welcomes back other beloved characters back like Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and Recruiter (Gong Yoo). As for new characters, Park Gyu-young makes her debut, but it’s unclear precisely who she is.

It’s safe to say “Squid Game” was a global phenomenon back in 2021. But will the new season pick up where the previous one left off?
