Taylor Lautner Breaking More Than Just Tween Hearts In New 'Abduction' Poster

If the first trailer is any indication, Taylor Lautner‘s transformation from tween-heartthrob to action star will definitely need a little more thrust than what it’ll get from the release of John Singleton‘s “Abduction” later this fall. The film, which was originally described as a ‘Bourne‘-esque tale, comes across as a teenage drama with a decent budget for stunts with a new poster doing little to change our minds.

You probably can’t tell either by all the Lautner-centric marketing so far but the film does have a decent supporting cast in place with Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello, Michael Nyqvist, Delmot Mulroney and Elisabeth Rohm all set to feature in the story about a young man who uncovers the truth about his life after finding his baby photo on a missing persons website. The spec script by Shawn Christensen attracted a lot of attention when it was originally floating around the studios before eventually being snapped up by Lionsgate for $1 million.

“Abduction” hits theaters September 23rd. Full poster after the jump. [YahooMovies]
