50. “Poker Face” (Season 2)
“Knives Out” director Rian Johnson had a brilliant idea: make a crime-of-the-week comedy murder mystery series ala “Columbo” and center it around a female protagonist (Natasha Lyonne) with an innate ability to detect lies. Season one featured a litany of guests, and season two is no different including appearances by Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes,, Gaby Hoffmann, Kumail Nanjiani, Sherry Cola, Kevin Corrigan, Ben Marshall Kathrine Narducci, Cynthia Erivo, BJ Novak, John Mulaney and more.
Airdate: TBD via Peacock.

49. “Peacemaker” (Season 2)
Four years after it debuted, and in the process becoming one of the rare vestiges of the now-defunct DC Universe that’s carried over into the new DC Studios era, James Gunn’s “Peacemaker” series returns. Newcomers to the cast are Tim Meadows and Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., who also appears in the animated “Creature Commandos” series arriving this month.

47. “The Handmaid’s Tale” (Season 6)
In the sixth and final season of this Emmy-winning drama, if “The Handmaid’s Tale” felt somewhat less relevant in recent years, the just-occurred American election could change that drastically. Returning to Gilead nearly three years after 2022’s season five, returning actors for the finale include Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, O-T Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Bradley Whitford, and Ann Dowd. Moss has moved into directing for almost every series she appears in these days, and she directs the first episode and several key episodes.
Premiere Date: TBD Spring via Hulu.
46. “Undertow”
An adaptation of the Norwegian crime drama series “Twin,” the concept of this one is wild. Jamie Dornan plays the twins, and Mackenzie Davis plays the mother. Other actors in the cast include Iain De Caestecker and Gary Lewis. Jeremy Lovering directs, and Sarah Dollard is one of the head writers.
Airdate: TBD via Netflix.
45. “Your Friends and Neighbors”

Alexander Skarsgård stars alongside David Dastmalchian, Tamara Podemski, Noma Dumezweni, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones, Akshay Khanna

42. “Neuromancer”
A sci-fi drama based on the award-winning novel by William Gibson, the series was created by writer Graham Roland and director J.D. Dillard (“Sleight”). The series follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker (rising star Callum Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner (Briana Middleton), a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets. Dillard shot the pilot, but it’s unclear if it has been picked up beyond that or if they’re still tweaking.
Premiere Date: TBD via Apple TV+.

41. “A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms”
The second of what appears to be many upcoming “Game Of Thrones” spinoffs, this series uses George R. R. Martin‘s “Tales of Dunk and Egg” novellas as its source material. Starring relatively unknowns Peter Claffey as the hedge knight Dunk and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, a prince of the Targaryen dynasty and Dunk’s squire, the series follows their adventures in Westeros about 90 years before the events of the main ‘GOT’ series. Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, and Sam Spruell are among some of the many co-stars, but it’s largely free of stars or any names.
Premiere Date: TBD summer/fourth quarter via HBO.
