David Leitch has already assembled a stellar cast for his upcoming movie version of the cult ’80s TV show “The Fall Guy,” with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt leading the film. Now, Deadline reports another actress joins the supporting cast: “A Discovery Of Witches” star Teresa Palmer.

Palmer joins the previously cast Winston DukeAaron Taylor-JohnsonStephanie Hsu, and Hannah Waddingham in the upcoming film. No word on yet who Palmer plays, though. “The Fall Guy,” based on ABC‘s series from the early 1980s, star Gosling as a washed-up stuntman for Taylor-Johnson’s movie star. When Taylor-Johnson mysteriously disappears, it’s up to Gosling to find him, even though Taylor-Johnson once stole roles from him earlier in their careers. Blunt plays a makeup artist with a romantic history with Gosling’s stuntman. Hsu plays Taylor-Johnson’s personal assistant, while Duke plays Gosling’s best friend. As for Waddingham, she plays a film producer.

Drew Pierce, who penned the script for Leitch on “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” writes the screenplay for “The Fall Guy.” He also serves as one of the film’s executive producers with Geoff Shaevitz and original series creator Glen A. Larson. Leitch produces the film with his partner Kelly McCormick through their 87North banner with Guymon Casady, who produces through Entertainment 360. Gosling also co-produces the film.

Outside of “A Discovery Of Witches,” recent work for Palmer includes the Disney+ limited series “The Clearing” with Guy Pearce. She also appeared in the horror film “The Twin” earlier this year.

No word yet on if “The Fall Guy” takes place in ’80s like the TV show or is a contemporary take on the series, but expect something in the vein of Leitch’s other work like “Bullet Train” and “Atomic Blonde.” “The Fall Guy” hits theaters on March 1, 2024, courtesy of Universal Pictures.
