‘The Fall Of The House Of Usher’ First Look: Mike Flanagan’s Latest Horror Series Premieres On Netflix On October 12

Mike Flanagan has had a good run of horror projects with Netflix, adapting stories from literary greats like Stephen KingShirley JacksonChristopher Pike and Henry James. And he’s also done original limited series like 2021’s “Midnight Mass,” too (although that one wears its King influence proudly).

Now, Flanagan returns to Netflix this Halloween with another limited series, updating Edgar Allan Poe‘s “The Fall Of The House Of Usher” for the 21st century. This time, however, he shares directing duties with his longtime cinematographer Michael Fimognari, helming four episodes a piece.

From Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, a wicked horror series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.
