As seen in the new trailer, that’s the basic premise for Amazon Prime Video’s newest series “The Widow.” Kate Beckinsale stars as Georgia Wells. Georgia is in a loving marriage with her husband, who goes missing after his plane crashes. While everyone is telling her that her husband is dead, Georgia believes he’s alive since they never found his body and there’s some evidence of one lone survivor. As she travels to where the plane crashed, Georgia begins to uncover evidence of a vast conspiracy that may or may not involve her husband and a bomb that was put on the plane.
The synopsis for the show is sparse, and doesn’t reveal much:
“Has she lost everything or is she chasing a ghost? Kate Beckinsale stars as Georgia Wells, and is on the hunt to uncover answers surrounding her husband’s mysterious disappearance.”
“The Widow” stars Beckinsale, alongside “Game of Thrones” star Charles Dance, Alex Kingston, Babs Olusanmokun, and Luiana Bonfim. The series comes from creators and writers Harry and Jack Williams, who are probably best known for their work on the series “The Missing” and “Liar.”
For those that want to watch Beckinsale use her machine gun to unravel this mysterious disappearance of her husband, Amazon Prime Video will release the series on March 1.
