“The Burial”
Starring Tommy Lee Jones, Jamie Foxx, Pamela Reed, Jurnee Smollett, Mamoudou Athie, Bill Camp, and Alan Ruck, this David and Goliath courtroom drama is directed by Maggie Betts, who broke out in 2017 with her drama “Novitiate.” The film centers on a handshake deal gone wrong and one family’s struggle to hold onto their mom-and-pop funeral home in the face of heartless corporate exploitation.
“Wicked Little Letters”
Based on a scandal that hit England in the 1920s, “Wicked Little Letters” follows Edith and Rose, neighbors who can’t stand each other. When Edith and others in their seaside town begin to receive obscene letters, Rose falls under suspicion. Directed by Thea Sharrock, Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley star as the aforementioned neighbors, alongside Timothy Spall and Anjana Vasan.
“American Fiction”
An adaption of Percival Everett’s novel Erasure, “American Fiction,” is Cord Jefferson’s directorial debut and tells the story of a frustrated artist who is fed up with pandering to readers seeking stereotypes and tropes for entertainment. The film stars Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, Keith David, Issa Rae, and Sterling K. Brown.
“Reptile”
Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro, Oscar nominee Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Silverstone star in filmmaker Grant Singer’s moody, intricate New England–set noir in which the worlds of real estate, narcotics trafficking, and police work merge. Del Toro co-wrote the screenplay, and Michael Pitt, Domenick Lombardozzi and Karl Glusman co-star.
“Finestkind”

Nicolas Cage stars alongside Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula, and Dylan Baker. “Dream Scenario” was written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and produced by “Midsommar” filmmaker Ari Aster.
