A24 and filmmaker Halina Reijn, after working together on “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and “Babygirl,” are reuniting for the mysterious feature film “Please,” which has landed a solid actor to co-star alongside singer Gracie Abrams.
“Please” has added British actor Tom Burke (“The Crown,” “Legends”) to the cast, marking his latest project with the studio, as reported by Deadline. Sadly, the character and plot details are being kept under lock and key, so we’ll have to be patient to learn more about the project in the future.

Burke, who was part of the cast of George Miller‘s “Mad Max: Fury Road” prequel “Furiosa” (taking on a character similar to Max), Steven Soderbergh‘s MI6 thriller “Black Bag,” is part of the cast of Prime Video’s “Blade Runner 2099” spinoff series (also features Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer), the BBC show “California Avenue,” and is currently shooting A24/Alex Garland‘s high-profile mature fantasy video game adaptation “Elden Ring.”
Another A24 feature Burke has been enlisted for includes the Lenny Abrahamson-directed (“Room”) period Dublin-set drama that sees him co-starring with Eve Hewson (“Disclosure Day”), which focuses on a Jewish family integrating in the 1970s with “The Troubles” as the backdrop.
Once we learn more information about Reijn’s “Please,” we’ll certainly share that intel with an update, as we have to assume there is a twist here that is being held back by the studio and trades. However, adding Burke into the mix is going to add to the anticipation of learning more about the secretive A24 project that sees Abrams (daughter of famed filmmaker J.J. Abrams) making her acting debut.
