On August 1, audiences will be able to stream the upcoming Netflix romantic film “My Oxford Year,” and they’ve sent over a trailer so folks can get a look at what the love story is going to be about outside of British boy meets American girl.
The drama boasts a cast that features actors such as Sofia Carson, Corey Mylchreest, Dougray Scott, Catherine McCormack, Harry Trevaldwyn, Esmé Kingdom, Nikhil Parmar, Poppy Gilbert, Romina Cocca, Yadier Fernández, Nia Anisah, and Hugh Coles.

An official synopsis from Netflix:
When Anna (Sofia Carson), an ambitious young American woman, sets out for Oxford University to fulfill a childhood dream, she has her life completely on track until she meets a charming and clever local (Corey Mylchreest) who profoundly alters both of their lives.
Directed by Ian Morris, “My Oxford Year” is an adaptation of the Julia Whelan novel with a script penned by Allison Burnett and Melissa Osborne. It has a group of producers and executive producers that consists of Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Laura Quicksilver, Isaac Klausner, George Berman, Caroline Levy, Carson, Laura Char Carson, Christopher Simon, Maggie Monteith, and Pete Harris.
Carson isn’t a stranger to Netflix projects, as the actress/singer previously appeared in the popular airport thriller “Carry-On” co-starring Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman. The last project she was seen in was “The Life List” back in March.
