According to THR, ViacomCBS has signed Trey Parker and Matt Stone to a new deal worth a reported $900 million that will see “South Park” run until Season 30 (Season 25 is set to air in 2022) and will also include 14 new “South Park” features that will be exclusive to Paramount+. Yes, you read that right. Fourteen new “South Park” films.

Apparently, ViacomCBS is excited to continue the deal with Parker and Stone, but the films seem to be the big selling point for the studio. You see, “South Park” (the series) is currently exclusively streaming on HBO Max, which is a competitor of Paramount+, due to a licensing deal made a couple of years ago. So, the 14 films that are going to be released two times a year will be the only “South Park” content that you’ll be able to get on Paramount+ for the time being.

All that to say, there’s going to be plenty of “South Park” content for people that still love the show. And for Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they’re going to continue to have more money than they know what to do with as they keep getting paid to make one of the longest-running shows in TV history. Good for them.
