'Truth Seekers' Trailer: Simon Pegg & Nick Frost's Paranormal Comedy Arrives October 30

Your mileage may vary about whether or not you believe in ghosts or paranormal activity, but as a fan of film and TV series, we all know the answer to this question: When there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who ya gonna call? Your internet service provider! Well, okay, normally the Ghostbusters, but in the new Amazon series, “Truth Seekers,” the next best thing is the same person that makes sure your wi-fi is working just fine.

As seen in the new trailer for the series, “Truth Seekers” stars Nick Frost as a scruffy, veteran internet installer that is forced to take on a new partner at the behest of his boss (Simon Pegg). And while out on their first job, they come across something spooky and scary. This leads the duo on a mission to investigate the arrival of the paranormal activity and figure out what’s going on.

Samson Kayo (“Timewasters”), Hiten Patel (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”) join Pegg and Frost in “Truth Seekers.” Here’s the official synopsis for “The Truth Seekers:”

“Truth Seekers” follows a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.

“Truth Seekers” is set to drop all eight of its episodes on Amazon October 30. Take a look at the new trailer below.
