Simon Pegg & Nick Frost Parody 'Shaun Of The Dead' For A Fun Coronavirus PSA

During the whole COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic that is affecting the entire world, you’ve probably seen heaps of memes and comments about how we are actually experiencing the apocalypse. Obviously, that’s not the case, but the fear is real and people tend to freak out when they’re forced to stay indoors. And to bring light to this issue, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are parodying themselves for a new PSA about what to do when you’re self-isolating.

Playing off the famous scene in “Shaun of the Dead,” Pegg and Frost find themselves on the phone talking about “The Plan” for how to stay safe and healthy during the pandemic. Sure, the information has probably been shared a million different times in a billion different ways over the last week or so, but there’s no harm in watching two of the funniest people in the film industry regurgitate info you already know (hopefully) in an entertaining way, recalling their iconic performances.

The entire gag concludes with Pegg summing it all up in words that should be echoed by everyone around the globe.

“Above all, don’t be a twat about things,” Pegg says. “We’re all in this together. Don’t be selfish. Look out for each other. Give someone a call if you think they might be lonely.”

Sure, this might not be Gal Gadot and A-listers singing John Lennon, but for film fans, this is pretty damn fun, seeing Frost and Pegg come together to talk about the current global crisis by parodying their film about a zombie plague.
