'Us' Trailer: Jordan Peele’s New Nightmare Looks Even Crazier Than ‘Get Out’

It’s always exciting when a promising filmmaker follows up a successful debut – Christopher Nolan’s sophomore effort was “Memento,” Quentin Tarantino followed up “Reservoir Dogs” with “Pulp Fiction,” and Ryan Coogler succeeded “Fruitvale Station” with “Creed.” However, while each of these great directors had immense success with their first films, none, if any director, came out of the gate stronger than Jordan Peele, whose film “Get Out” was the breakout hit of 2017, making its budget back more than fifty times over and garnering Peele the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Nyong’o, despite making strong appearances in franchise films like “Black Panther,” has yet to replicate her immense success in her debut performance in “12 Years a Slave,” for which she won Best Supporting Actress, but it’s not hard to assume that Peele has written a meaty role for her to fill.

“US” arrives in theaters on March 15, 2019. You can watch the new trailer below.
