To say that the December film lineup is crowded would be an understatement, but one movie hoping to cut through the fray is the soccer rom-com dramedy thing, "Playing For Keeps," and seven clips are now here to try and get one through the goalposts.
Gerard Butler leads the movie as a washup soccer/broadcaster wannabe, who gets into a love triangle of sorts with his ex-wife (Jessica Biel) and potential new boss (Catherine Zeta-Jones), all while finding a renewed love of the sport by coaching his son's soccer team. Feelings! Gabriele Muccino, the man behind "The Pursuit Of Happyness" and "Seven Pounds" is behind the camera on this one, so manage expectations accordingly. And fun fact: this was once a movie about baseball, but was changed to soccer for more international appeal.
"Playing For Keeps" gets on the field on December 7th. Watch below.
