So, how good was that “Iron Man 3” trailer earlier today, right? While we might still prefer Drunken Asshole Stark over Insomnia Stark, it looks like writer/director Shane Black has delivered a third entry that will distinctly step away from the first two instalments, going for something grittier, with higher stakes than ever before. And if you’re looking for one more reason to watch the trailer, well, you got one now.
An international version has dropped and it serves up a few more morsels of footage, mostly catering to the all important Asian market. In case you forgot, “Iron Man 3” has already locked in Chinese distribution via DMG Entertainment, and perhaps hoping to curry favor and get a decent release (movies from outside the country battle/struggle for optimal dates), Marvel brought the production overseas and cast Wang Xueqi and Fan Bingbing in small roles. The former plays Dr. Wu with the latter as his surgical assistant, and something tells us they’ll be patching up Mr. Stark at some point during the movie.
So take one more look at what Marvel is delivering this spring. “Iron Man 3” goes after Mandarin on May 3rd. And check out a new poster below. [ComingSoon/China]
