Watch: Kirsten Dunst Experiences Selfie Culture In Short Film ‘Aspirational’

AspirationalAh, the era of the selfie. While there’s probably a whole bunch of verbiage we could write about how celebrity culture has changed in recent times, especially with the advent of social media enabling actors and actresses a more direct way to reach fans, here’s a short film that has a different take on the matter.

"Aspirational," from director Matthew Frost, is a quick two-minute film starring Kirsten Dunst for Vs. Mag and Iconoclast. It’s an entertaining little morsel, in which Dunst, playing herself, is stopped by two fans who pose for an endless array of photos with the actress. Of course, the fans are more interested in sharing the pic and being tagged than in actually talking with her. It’s a nice little comment on the age of the Instagram and worth a click below. And if you like this, be sure watch Frost’s previous short, "Fashion Film" starring Lizzy Caplan.
