Regardless of how the actual movie turned out, Zack Snyder‘s “Man Of Steel” certainly had one of the best blockbuster trailers of 2013, thanks in no small part to Hans Zimmer‘s triumphant track “What Are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving the World?” So, Warner Bros. has decided to use it again.
The studio has unveiled a quick new trailer for “The Lego Movie,” and rather cleverly, it uses the same structure and punchy editing as the “Man Of Steel” spot. A cheap ploy? Nah, it’s playful and clever and hell, it got this writer interested (who is otherwise kind of on the fence about this whole toy movie in the first place). There is something pretty fun about the juxtaposition of Zimmer’s percussion-heavy piece of music, and the quick cutting, with the candy colored world of the movie.
So yeah, give it a spin below and let us know what you think. “The Lego Movie” opens on February 7th.
