Listen, we know Warner Bros. has been busy with "The Dark Knight Rises," but that doesn't excuse the marketing for the upcoming "The Campaign" being so…lifeless. Mostly relying on jokey pairs of posters (see the latest here) and, well, that's about it, the film doesn't yet feel like the kind of classic a Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis pairing should bring about.
And so, it is with rather muted enthusiasm, that we present the latest trailer for the film. Mostly made up of stuff you've seen before, along with some brief snippets of new material, it's mostly more of the same. As FirstShowing notes, this trailer features some footage that was presented at Comic-Con (you can watch some of the panel below as well) but that "the dinner table scene actually has a lot more hilarious takes." Where's that stuff Warner Bros.? And surely you could've bulked out this one-minute tease?
Anyway, a few weeks to go until August 10th when "The Campaign" lands in theaters. Here's hoping we're a little more excited by then.
