A collection of eight features, four of which will debut in October with the rest saved till Q1 of 2021, “Welcome To The Blumhouse” looks like it will serve as a home for a lot of diverse storytellers. Highlights include, “The Lie,” directed by Veena Sud (creator of “The Killing” fame), and starring Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”), “Nocturne,” written and directed by filmmaker Zu Quirke, and starring “Euphoria” breakout star Sydney Sweeney, and “Black Box” starring Phylicia Rashad from “The Cosby Show.” Obviously there seems to be an emphasis on female directors, people of color, and in general, a lot of eclectic voices. Today, four trailers for these four different films have been released.
